Case study · Alison Canavan, keynote speaker
What a keynote speaker’s website should actually do.
Alison Canavan speaks to corporate audiences about energy and human performance. Her old website did not say so. We rebuilt it from the ground up: one clear message, a modern platform, and every inquiry flowing straight into Payani AI.

Client
Alison Canavan, keynote speaker on energy and human performance
What we did
Positioning, messaging, design and a full rebuild
Platform
From WordPress to a custom Next.js build
Behind it
Payani AI, one CRM for every inquiry
The brief, in her words
What frustrates me most about my current website is that it does not clearly communicate who I am, what I do or why someone should book me. It feels busy, fragmented and difficult to navigate.
If you are an established speaker, you may have felt the same. Most speaker websites grow with the career instead of following it. Every new chapter gets added on top, until the one thing a planner needs to know is the hardest thing to find.
Before and after
Same speaker. A completely different first impression.
The old home page tried to say everything. The new one says one thing, clearly, and leads to a booking.

Message
BeforeCoaching, meditations, webinars and courses, all competing for the same visitor.
AfterOne clear message: keynote speaker on energy and human performance.
Positioning
BeforeHer expertise spread thin across many offers.
AfterOne framework everything builds on: The Energy Bank Method.
Journey
BeforeNo obvious path from a first visit to a booking.
AfterEvery page leads a planner to one action: book Alison.
Platform
BeforeA WordPress theme held together by plugins.
AfterA custom Next.js build, connected to Payani AI.
What we built
Built to get her booked.
A full rebuild, not a new theme. Every page has one job, and every job ends in an inquiry.
Fast, secure and built to last.
We moved Alison off WordPress and onto Next.js. No theme to fight, no plugins to patch or break, and pages that load fast on any connection. Every page is structured so Google and AI assistants understand exactly who she is and what she speaks on.
- →Off WordPress, onto a custom Next.js build
- →No themes or plugins to maintain
- →Structured for Google and AI search
- →Designed for every screen, from desktop to phone

A message no one can miss.
We rebuilt her positioning around her own framework, The Energy Bank Method, so every page tells the same story: energy, not time, is our most valuable currency. A planner knows within seconds what she speaks on and why it matters to their audience.
- →One framework, carried through every page
- →Copy written for the people who book her
- →A clear call to book on every page

A speaking page that sells the talk.
Each signature keynote gets its own stage: a moment on video, the outcomes an audience walks away with, and a direct way to inquire about that exact talk. Planners see the talk before they book it.
- →Every keynote with its own video moment
- →Outcomes written for the room, not the résumé
- →Inquire about a specific talk in one click

A toolkit that does the bureau's job.
Bios, headshots, keynote topics, the AV rider, the one-sheet, the media pack and the speaker reel, all ready to download. The text a planner pastes into a programme is one click away, and a bureau can forward her reel to a client with a single link.
- →Everything a planner asks for, in one place
- →Copy-to-clipboard bios and introductions
- →A shareable reel link built for bureaus

See it the way a planner does.
See Alison’s new websiteThe EBM Coin · Her idea, our engineering
Her keynote keeps travelling after she leaves the stage.
The EBM Coin is Alison’s idea. She hands out numbered coins at her keynotes, and each one is passed from person to person, carrying her message further. Our job was to give that idea a home online, and to engineer it properly.

Receive
At one of Alison's keynotes, a numbered coin is placed in someone's hand.
Register
They create a profile and register the coin: where they are, when, and why it reached them.
Follow
Every coin has its own public journey, showing each hand it has passed through and what it meant.
Pass it on
They hand it to someone new. When the next person registers it, earlier holders who opted in hear where their coin went.

What it gives her
- A keynote that keeps going after the room empties.
- An audience that chooses to stay in touch.
- Something her clients' people keep long after the event.
What we engineered
- 01A full web application, built natively into the site in Next.js
- 02A Postgres database on Supabase recording every coin's chain of custody, hand by hand
- 03Secure accounts with email verification
- 04Anonymity enforced at the database level, so a holder's name and photo stay private when they choose
- 05Consent stored separately for each purpose, timestamped and withdrawable in one click
- 06A report link on every story, with signed one-click moderation for Alison
- 07Transactional email on every coin event, and every holder synced to Payani AI through its API
